Do you need help dealing with COVID-19 in Central Ohio? Sign up for help below!

IFI staff and volunteers care about you and the special circumstances you are facing due to the Coronavirus. While we can’t make guarantees, we are very willing to connect you with an IFI volunteer(s) that is able to assist you.

Here are some of the precautions IFI has taken to protect students and volunteers from the COVID19 virus.

  1. We ask volunteers who are over 60 and have an ongoing illness not to participate in face to face activities.
  2. We ask volunteers and students who participate to take precautions and be aware of the safety risks on the Centers for Disease Control web page: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
  3. We ask that volunteers and students who have symptoms or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or exposed to someone diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days not participate.

Most of these services are free, provided by the Christians who support and volunteer in IFI.

Each of our host families submits a background check, provides 3 character references in addition to completing a 2-hour training session to teach them about common cross-cultural and communication differences, dietary restrictions, and how to show hospitality, respect and love to international students.

We collect feedback from every student so that we know how they are treated while in the care of our volunteers.

Health Information
Sorry we are unable to have volunteers meet with you in-person until you are fever and cough free for 2 weeks.  
You can still participate as a Virtual Conversation Partner and receive the Grocery Delivery service, just check the boxes and fill out the forms below.
Service Requested
Please indicate how many nights of temporary housing you need below. Our host families provide 1 to 4 nights of temporary housing completely free of charge. 
Staying longer than 4 days may require a payment agreement with your host.
